Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Around 2,000 US Jobs – News

Skydance Paramount plans to begin significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn overseen by top executive David Ellison.

These job cuts are a result of the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.

More overseas workforce reductions are expected, as the firm intending to announce complete information via its Q3 financial results on 10 November.

Previous updates stated that Paramount aimed to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the company had almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees and 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not yet commented to a request for comment.
